Welcome! My name is Lea (she/her) and I am a psychotherapist who is licensed as a clinical social worker in New York and New Jersey; I'm a licensed telehealth provider in Florida. I hold a master's in Social Work from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service. I am a level 3 trained Certified Internal Family Systems therapist and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. My approach is additionally informed by attachment theory and I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting and Clinical Hypnotherapy.
I work in a trauma-informed way that honors the uniqueness and complexity of each person's experience.

I also have a background as a trained musician; I have an undergraduate degree in Jazz Performance from the City College of New York. Lastly, I am a licensed massage therapist, a graduate of the Swedish Institute in New York City, and have trained as a Craniosacral Therapist with the Upledger Institute.

A little more about me...

As a multiracial person of Japanese and European ancestry and a 1.5 generation American, my lived experience navigating diverse cultures and identities informs my approach to therapy. I continue to explore the complexities of belonging, identity, and the challenges of moving between worlds. At the same time, I recognize the privilege I hold as a cisgender, able-bodied, light-skinned person, and strive to remain mindful of how these factors shape me.

My practice is guided by a commitment to anti-racist decolonial work, acknowledging the historical and systemic factors that impact mental health. I am dedicated to promoting equity, justice, and cultural humility in my practice and engage in ongoing education and reflection to deepen my understanding.

Recognizing the importance of community, earth, and ancestral connections, I strive to weave these elements into the therapeutic process. By honoring the interconnectedness of all beings and the land, I aim to create a space that respects diverse perspectives and embraces the wisdom of all. In recognition of the land we inhabit, I acknowledge that my practice unfolds on the traditional and ancestral land of the Lenape people.
